Easter Sunday

Hello, friends! Hope you had a lovely Easter! Between a super busy week and uncertain weather I was a little nervous about hosting thirty guests. God was good! From a wonderful worship service to perfect egg hunt weather and amazing food and friends, I really couldn't have asked for better. I feel you can be a lot bolder with the color scheme at Easter and I'm very happy with the table design. Per usual, we served both an Easter and Passover menu...you got it, ham and lamb side by side...okay, so maybe not Kosher but delicious none the less. And of course, the kids are the best. Easter is definitely a kid holiday. We let them eat all the sugar they can lay hands on and in exchange they look cute in their clothes and hunt the eggs...win, win. Thankful for a beautiful day and the people I was able to spend it with!

“If man had his way, the plan of redemption would be an endless and bloody conflict. In reality, salvation was bought not by Jesus' fist, but by His nail-pierced hands; not by muscle but by love; not by vengeance but by forgiveness; not by force but by sacrifice. Jesus Christ our Lord surrendered in order that He might win; He destroyed His enemies by dying for them and conquered death by allowing death to conquer Him.” -A.W. Tozer

  1. My Easter was a little...busier than it usually is, but so, so sweet. I loved having everyone so dressed up all day - so many precious pictures and loads of sugar and fun <3 And of course, lots of Jesus - I loved seeing the children celebrate their Savior that day.

By the way, can you do my wedding decorations? Just thought I'd ask.

    1. Yes, yes, yes! I've always wanted to decorate wedding (not my own...I would be a hot mess...) and of course doing your wedding would just be amazing. So...find yourself a groom and we'll start talking colors! :)

  2. I almost mistook Carmella for Ellie — the two of them have grown up so much! I love their precious Easter dresses. As usual, I am also blown away by your decorating skills. Put me on the future wedding decoration list after Liza! ;)

Our Easter was beautiful. Just last year we started having a Seder on Easter Sunday, which isn't entirely traditional, but is still a neat way of tying Jewish tradition in with the fulfillment of the Old Testament in Christ's death and resurrection. The weather was also in the sixties and sunny, which made the day perfect. ^_^

    1. It should be illegal how fast those two are growing! So neat your family also combines Easter and Passover celebrations. As I told Liza, you get the groom and I'll get the decor ;) So good to hear from you, friend! I was just thinking of you the other day and how we really need to catch up. Hugs!
